Network news:
Joining the networking e-group
The Faculty has set up a networking e-group on health and sustainable development and it seems sensible - for those of us who want to - to use that group for communication with each other rather than set up a separate one. You don’t need to be a Faculty member to join the group, just go to Faculty website www.fph.org.uk and click on The Network Groups. We will continue to send out a regular newsletter to all members.
Latest manifesto and welcome to new members
We had lots of new signatories to the manifesto at the Faculty conference. We attach the latest version of the manifesto with the list of signatories. Can you all check that the details we have about you on the manifesto are correct and let Alison Hill alison.hill@sepho.nhs.uk know the changes that you want making.
Pocket Guide to Health and Sustainable Development
Jenny Griffiths has finalised the pocket guide with enormous help from the Faculty of Public Health, in particular Lindsey Stewart, taking on board all the comments from you and others. Thanks for all your contributions and suggestions. The Faculty is going to publish it, and the organisational signatories will be invited to endorse it and have their logos included.
Sustainable Development, Climate Change and Health – presentation pack
Helen Zealley has done some work on a framework for presentations, a pack of slides and notes for people to use locally to raise awareness and prompt action planning with groups of the general public about the health implications of SD and Climate Change. This will be developed in conjunction with the Faculty and others.
